Cranbow installed two garage doors in Calgary NW. We installed the Therma Tech II Steel Garage doors on the property. The garage doors are 2” thick. The client chose a traditional style steel garage door with a triple layer insulation built into it. Both garage doors have an R-Value of 10.4. The Therma Tech II garage doors have a flexible PVC weather seal with adjustable aluminum retainer to keep weather elements out and maintain a regulated temperature in the garage.
For this installation, we used 16x8 and 9x8, triple insulated steel garage doors with steel end caps and an attractive embossed wood grain texture. The doors also came equipped with Tongue & Groove Section Joint with a Thermal Barrier Joint Seal.
This installation project required a high lift which involved installing the guides to the ceiling following the roof installation. As a result, the guides were run parallel to the roof due to the slope of the roof at that point. The guides were then run up at an angle under the roof itself.
We installed Liftmaster’s 8500w openers with soft start, keyless entry, bright LED and built-in WiFi for both garage doors. The wall-mounted Lifmaster openers paired seamlessly with the Therma Tech II Steel Garage Doors.
